I am glad I am not a dedicated Republican and I can pop the popcorn, sit, and watch political heads explode over this.
I can't see the Repubican Party being a united party but instead a bigger Trumplican Party vs a smaller Repubican Party. However there is no path to the presidency other then severe voter supression ( which is what the Republicans are trying to do) with a divided party.

Was he on a Lie-detector?

Professional/inchoherant liars can beat a lie-detector test. I bet he had a tack hidden in his shoe.
Jones made the statement in 2019 before the pandemic when Trump had an excellent chance of winning relection. Not sure what Jones motivation was to lie.

Authoritarian right-wing parties in Europe tend to break down in arguments. Same here I think.

They can but not always. Obviously the Nazis were very united and Italy,Spain and Portugal were united for a while. Fascism in Spain lasted a good thirty six years under Franco.
Pinochet lasted a good while but he was allowed to peacefully retire untill he was briefly arrested in the UK but then released.
It just depends on the quality of leadership which in the case of Trump it's an ongoing saga. Both left and right wing parties can certainly break apart .

The carnival barker with a horned head,

invites you right in, to a smaller tent. ;)

What's scarry is once a movement such has Trump's gets something like thirty to forty percent of the population to support it then it's no longer a fringe movement. There were police officers from other jurisdictions that joined in the rioting as well has active duty military personnel.

Well obviously the Nazi Party that had a solid thirty plus percent of the German electorate in 1932. The Nazi Part most likely became more popular until by the battle of Stalingrad when the weels fell off the bus.
If Trump plays his cards right he can forge a powerful politcal movement which already is seeking to gravely restrict the right to vote in many states.
Plenty of money that Trump can legally make.

True that's why if Cruz and Hawly are smart they will give Trump a pre paid card to buy has much fast food as he wants and encourage Trump to smoke and give him free cigarettes. They can convince Trump that it's a hoax and a fraud by big Pharma that tabbaco is dangerous when in reality it's heat healthy and loaded with anti oxidents.

Trump has a good thirty to forty percent of the electorate and the support of some but not all buisness men such has the My Pillow Guy.
Trump is sitting pretty unless he gets convicted on a state felony charge in Georgia for vote tampering or New York for tax fraud.
Trump can legally grift the sheep for millions and even if he looses flee to Russia to avoid any charges.

Recent history of RW parties is that they have difficulty staying together. Of your examples, only Hitler had a political movement, and between
Night of the Long Knives and WWII did not have much political stuff to do.

Franco's Falangists lasted until the mid 1970s from the 1939 overthow of the Repubican Government. Salazar lasted a long time as has Putin. Orban of Hungary has been around for a while and Salazar of Portugal rulled for decades and would of most likely continued but for the unpopular wars in Africa.

Trump is right either the
Repubican Party leaders bow down and accept his divine rule or he takes his supporters with him and the Republicans loos many congressional and senate seats and forget about the presidency. The Repubican Party married Trump and there is no divorce.

Only when they had control of a totalitarian government in which case they are not a political party but a government.
