you said stuff about nbf that makes no sense whatsoever for anybody who actually studied the western theater - for someone declaring themselves not learned about the subject that's kinda gutsy.
how come everybody takes humbleness as a means for attack. I bet I"ve interacted with the same weird set of person my whole life with no sense in their heads. I don't need to talk to some 1.% weird person that thinks a comparable lack of Interest, importance, and nathan bedford forrest is not interesting in the western theater.

dude, do you read your own posts?
I don't feel studied whenever Western Theatre comes up.
you then proceded to declare him not important - honestly that makes no sense whatsoever.

i feel not studied in norse sagas, so when i get into a diskussion about it i shup up, listen and learn but i don't call eric the slayer* a nobody

* don't gOOgle him, i made him up (as i said i'm not competent about the topic)

Perhaps you should open yourself to other venues of learning Mike, and just not one alley.

A kind word goes a long way to open doors. There is a great deal of knowledge here abouts, I have Civil War bookmarks over a "mile" long.

Do not allow my smart-ass facade or others apparent hostility to throw you off. Ya' just need to crack a book or two.

Look how petty you both just got. You did posts in the category of "I know you are, but what am I".
List of American Civil War battles - Wikipedia
Nathan Bedford Forrest - Wikipedia
Western Theater of the American Civil War - Wikipedia
The Western Theater is not the Major Theater. The Western Theater typically has 1 third of the importance numbers and importance of the Eastern Theater. Among the Eastern Theater there were 7 generals ahead of this "Nathan Bedford Forrest" of unknown character and unknown attention and unknown importance and unknown origin. Maybe he's made up! He is in a category in which I'd call him made up like this other general that was posted recently for the confederacy. I posted some photos the first time where for historical confederate hobbyists it appears Nathan Bedford Forrest doesn't appear in those two portraitures.

I just double-checked the smaller of those 2 portraitures in the fine print, so I hope everyone has a photographic memory already of those 20 superb generals that are listed and the 50 in the other before you mention nathan forrest.

I've looked up and heard of Grandezza for the first time. Well, I'm encouraging others not to study the Western Theater, as it turns out, mostly its Ulysses Grant kicking and taking names...

+ not to think?
+ not to be independent?
+ to be guided!

What is everyone working on here?! No Confederate ever led me to studying the Western Theater. The Wikipedia says it is not a studied theater. It says its not popular. It has lesser armies, it has less battles. It has no Confederate wins.

if you only study where you won you'd come to rather strange ideas about history - to me that'd mean we won worldwar II in 1942

Just my two cents worth - you can't dismiss half a war and certain soldiers just because you personally don't find them interesting. That begs the question - why bother at all? I don't find Omar Bradley particularly interesting but if I want to understand WWII I'd better read something about him.

Well! I wouldn't tell you about them! That's a Federal job. You ever think Hitler could have a little bit of end of war chivalry and Otto von Bismarck sense? Doesn't everyone love Otto Bismarck now?

And the Pacific war, I've heard that was out West just past someplace called Pearl Harbor..
