Well at least the SS could fight. I would Rather led Waffen SS then social justice warriors who will run away when the shooting starts. American soldiers can fight without massacring everybody although to be fair rape and massacring civilans was not unknown by the US Army.

Lefty, first read my post above.

I read a delightful book from 1940 called See Here, Private Hargrove. It was about the draftees of 1940, told by one of them, a newspaper reporter in civilian life. At one point the soldiers are served ice cream in the messhall, and some people bemoan that they are being pampered, and aren't the rough tough Spartan doughboys that won World War One.

Indeed, Aristophanes in Clouds a comedy composed in the 5th century BC has a group of elders bemoaning the decadence of youth, with its obsession with Socratic philosophy.

All this moaning and groaning about woke and so forth is being manufactured by politicians.

Because a soldier is supposed to be a heartbreaker and a life taker. If some one wants to be a social worker that's fine but it makes more sense to recruit people who don't mind actually fighting vs nice sensitive people.

Maybe a bit exaterated but the speaker makes some valid points. The Russian add may be propoganda but at least it is more inspirational. High tech only goes so far. The US and it's NATO allies had all kinds of high tech bells and whistles in Afganhistan but guess who won?

I just checked and sure enough its a Russian PR blitz. Putin must be pleased that a certain segment of American politicians are willing to parrot his attempts to weaken our country. Led by Cancun Cruz himself, who couples his lack of military experience with personal cowardice.

No the Woke Ad is a legitimate US Army Recruitment Ad. It doesn't matter that the Russian Ad is propoganda or not it sends the right message. Historically the Russian Army sometimes fights well sometimes not so much just like the US Army.
All recruitment add are propoganda to a degree but Russian and Chinese adds are better. The Woke Ad is a sick joke .

The Russian Army add didn't mention invading the US. You have to address who the US is afraid of to various politicians. Obviously Congresswoman Alexandria Cortez and Illan Omar will give a much different answer then say Senator's Rubio and Cruz.
I agree military spending in the US is to high America's enemies are internal plus illegal immigrants.
