A thought provoking piece. I understand the feelings about this movie and others like it but I want to know why Netflix has not been forced to remove The Ridiculous Six. Hardly a classic but way more racist than GWTW!

Here is one monument or memorial thought would survive because where it located but not, it is being removed... Yeah! @Tom


The U.S. Army is set to remove a Confederate memorial from Arlington National Cemetery, despite opposition from congressional Republicans. The removal was recommended by a bipartisan commission after the murder of George Floyd.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin plans to relocate the monument to New Market Battlefield State Park.

The Army will proceed with the monument's removal to comply with a law to remove assets that commemorate the Confederacy. The removal process will cost $3 million and the memorial's bron

House Republicans want to prevent the Pentagon from removing a Confederate memorial from "America's most sacred shrine," Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

Congressman Andrew Clyde led a group of more than 40 GOP colleagues in calling for the Department of Defense to halt the planned removal of the Reconciliation Monument, also known as the Confederate Memorial, "until Congress completes the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 appropriations process."

That effort has apparently failed. Its still coming down.
