What other currency should be the world currency , none... Everyone wanted Japan in the 80's but they went by the wayside... The Euro came along and it did not meet the metal either... The Chinese everyone thought maybe until they realized they are evil... We got Switz franc but its to small of a nation...

doesn't change the fact that you kinda 'forcefully' export your deficit - the last dude who wanted to sell oil for anything but $$$ got a visit by norman schwartzkopff and a few of his buddies (there's a conspiracy about that to be had out there in the worlwide web)

We had a strong dollar in the 1980's and before... Today's strong dollar is reto... Mybe just old school...
