I can't predict the future but my guess is something along the lines of Northern Ireland from 1969 to 2007 aka Operation Banner as the British Army called it aka " The Troubles".

Hard to say because we know many enlisted personnel like Trump. The Taliban didn't have a lot of bells and whistles but they defeated the UD and it's allies. The IRA also was much weaker then the British Army but they ended the war in a negociated settlement and some of their leaders were elected to the British Parliament.

The vast ⁵ of the RUC was born in Ulster and much of the British Army in Ulster was composed of the Ulster Defense Regiment which was made up of men and women born in Ulster.

But Northern Ireland maybe part of Britain but the local Catholics never did think they were... The local Unionist feel like outsiders too, especially if they become part of a united Ireland...
