@Tom I know deep down you want to trash China but if you go back to the 19th century America is the greatest carbon emitter of all time. It matters because it is a cumulative problem. There are some good historical charts with the link...

.

In first place on the rankings, the US has released more than 509GtCO2 since 1850 and is responsible for the largest share of historical emissions, Carbon Brief analysis shows, with some 20% of the global total.

China is a relatively distant second, with 11%, followed by Russia (7%), Brazil (5%) and Indonesia (4%). The latter pair are among the top 10 largest historical emitters, due to CO2 from their land.

The Permafrost is creating pimps or mounds in the arctic areas of the world. These mounds are bubbles of methane gas under the surface and they are exploring.

So this is not about reducing CO2 emissions - but making them equitable according to population and history?

What a fraud.

You are right it's about reducing CO2 and Methane emissions. If you do not realize it, the climate deniers have won because we are not going to reach any emissions goals this century. I ask you if we do reach 2 degree rise in global temperatures and the oceans are rising and massive dislocation of people, what will you say to your great and great great children. You can say you won because the climate deniers won for allowing emissions to ran wild. How will justify it to them?

Have you look into what a 2 degree temperature increase world wide will cause havoc. It will limited the lives your great and great grandchildren will be able to live.

If the "climate activists" were as sincere as they claim about reducing emissions, thousands would be protesting every day at the various Chinese embassies around the world. They are not. Something else is going on. There's another motive.
