The Myers family were close friends with General Robert E Lee and the Murphy family were close friends with General Philip Sheridan. Both were friends with General John C Fremont. From the records of the book "Two Years Before the Mast" by Richard Henry Dana. I got this book from the Helen R Hoffman Plantation in Florida.

The Bonanza TV series was filmed in Santa Barbara County. Although I am more interested in General Lew Wallace being friends with Edwin Booth. Then Margaret Booth being friends with Louis B Mayer. Last, Louis B Mayer being friends with Art Rooney. This goes back to Mary Tyler Moore being friends with the Reiners and the Jacksons of Stonewall Jackson. The very last is Ward Hill Lamon being friends with John Wilkes Booth and his sister.
