For Labor Day Weekend we are looking at women workers.
What about today? The Union movement has withered away accept for ones that unionize government workers. The union movement needs new laws so it can organize whole companies nation wide at once. This doing by one store at a time is silly today. We have the internet to organize nation wide and vote nation wide. If we do not make it easier for unions to organize than the future middle class will keep shrinking away...

I say turn unions into corporations. They have a service to offer other corporations and the corporation can hire the union corporations(oc-ops)for their needs. We have personal corporations that take care of hiring, checks and the ect... The union corporation(co-ops) charges the corporation fees and the union corporation(oc-ops) pays the employees... gig workers on roids...

Not to lessen the way more important contributions of women to the fair labor movement here, but interestingly from the link "A woman in Troy came up with the idea of lessening the burden by inventing a collar that could be removed from a shirt to be washed separately." That became a hallmark of men's urban wear for the rest of the century and a bit beyond.

Not especially related, but who came up with boxer shorts and briefs, when and why?
