I do not drink anymore except once in a while over the past decades... but I found Rebel Yell cocktail with an egg ... I have never heard of aa egg in a drink to get you snookered... This is a food recipe because it has an egg in it...

Here is first one...

Mixed Drink Recipe from Cocktail Builder
1 of egg
2 oz of bourbon whiskey
1/2 oz of Triple Sec
1 oz of Lemon Juice

Combine bourbon, Cointreau, lemon juice, and egg white in a shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and pour into an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange slice, and serve.

Second version...

Ingredients

  • 2 oz de whisky (whiskey,bourbon...)

  • 1/2 oz d'orange liqueur (cointreau, grand marnier...)

  • 1 oz de lemon juice

  • 1 eggs
Method Print
  1. Step 1
Use a "Shaker" for "Rebel Yell Cocktail" drink recipe.
  2. Step 2
Combine bourbon, cointreau, lemon juice, and egg white in a shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and pour into an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange slice, and serve.
  3. Step 3
    Serve in "Old-Fashioned Glass".
I will not try it for it has an egg in it... no wonder you will yell...

I known this scene well... And I lol... A story... In my Navy days decades ago... My Navy buddy's while our ship was under way heading towards Europe, they had a contest about drinking raw eggs every morning. I can not remember who drank the most eggs in one setting but it was more than Rocky did in the movies... Thanks for jogging some old memories... Oh the contest was based off the Rocky scene...

The most common drink still made with eggs is a Pisco sour, but it's worth noting that there's no reason to either fear the egg (or more often than not egg whites) nor think that it will have an unpleasant and/or slimy flavor. All egg-containing drinks are shaken cocktails rather than stirred, and the alcohol itself - and its consequent agitation - essentially "cooks" the raw egg while leaving in in liquid form.

Pisco! That is a sort of Peruvian brandy? Some of the most unique drinkin' stuff comes from South America. Agave-based liquor is fast growing in the US - Mexican Indians had a well-kept secret! (Holding your liquor takes on a whole new meaning - some of that suddenly comes on like a mariachi band when you least expect it...) I think times are starting to change there regarding Native people and their cuisine as well - a new appreciation! Indians have always contributed to the making of booze - the Europeans didn't bring it they just brought lots of it! (Corn squeezin's - Europeans and Southeast Natives got together and figured out how to adapt each other's hooch!)

Interestingly, the New York egg cream contains precisely zero egg and, in some recipes, no cream. Just sayin'.

They never had those out here that I encountered - it was always malteds! They were made the same except added ice cream. (My dad was partial to chocolate malteds!)
