Here is a name that should sound familiar to you. He was the Prussian military observer following Lee's army. He was at the Battles of Gettysburg and Chancellorsville but I rarely ever see his books ever cited by Civil War writers. I wonder why? He should be an objective voice in our Civil war story...
And there is this one...
Has anyone ever read his books and think they may know why they are rarely cited by Civil War writers... It also looks as if he helps in writing Heros book on the battle of Brandy Station. He wrote other books in German even one on the Franco-Prussian War...
