It seems another President get a memorial on the Mall in D.C.. They should be running out of room for to many more. We all know the next two will be Old Ronnie who's policies have led to all our troubles 40 years later and Obama for being the first black President with a good but not great record.

Does Ike deserve his own memorial D.C. on the Mall or maybe back in Kansas or at Gettysburg or maybe their memorials should be attached to their Libraries... It seems every Modern Presidents gets his own Library nowadays. You can tell not a fan of Ike's memorial or even the Korean, or WW2 one either all of them showy and big as if big means something. It seems everyone forgot the power of the Vietnam memorial...

@Jim Klag , I thought you would have a comment about the Ike memorial...

snip...

The project, led by Gehry Partners, is located on a full-block site on Maryland Avenue just off of the National Mall, and consists of a 4-acre landscaped civic space, and bronze sculptures and bas reliefs depicting the childhood and life of the Supreme Allied Commander and 34th President of the United States of America. Notably, the monument is backed by a monumentally-scaled steel mesh tapestry embedded with a luminous light display developed by lighting consultant L’Observatoire International.
