I am trying to follow a story line out of Pittsburgh about J Robert Oppenhimer's wife from Aspenwall PA and the Murphys of Sheridan PA related to General Phillip Sheridan. Sheridan PA and Aspenwall PA are very close. The Murphys of Sheridan PA say they were related to Actor Audie Murphy and some are buried at the Hollywood Cemetery in Sheridan PA. The Murphys were also part of the Warner Brothers Studios in the North Side of Pittsburgh run by the Selznick family of David O Selznick. They were next to Art Rooneys Bar and Grill. Art Rooney was business partners with both Louis B Mayer and Jim Thorp. Jim Thorp was said to injure Ike Eisenhower at the football game at the Carlisle Indian School not far from Gettysburg. The Murphys were married into a Myers family who lived on Breckinridge Street in Gettysburg at the time of the Battle of Gettysburg. I have the Myers family diary on the battle who seem to be related to CSA General JEB Stuart and his wife Floria Cooke. The Pittsburgh Steelers are well known to have relatives in Dallas Texas. The Myers family were friends with Henry Clay Frick and John Hill Morgan at the time of the Homestead Strike. From the records of actress Carmel Myers who was friends with Joseph P Kennedy and Pope Pius XII.
