Thank all of you for allowing me to join the forum. Appreciate that. Anyways I have a question: Awhile back I got an original "VS" belt buckle and I researched the origin. It was worn by some Confederate Militia either from Mississippi or Vicksburg, Tennessee. But it was "NOT" a buckle believed to be, or stand for "Volunteer State" (Tennessee) Some of these Civil War buckle makers labeled this and I know it's incorrect. Does Compatriot out there know anything about this. Thanks, Deo Vindici, Richard

Hello rittmeister. Sorry, I didn't join to discuss things outside the War of Northern Aggression, but I do agree no one has any business opening or reading someone else's personal mail unless I guess they have evidence that the person is a terrorist, spy, etc.

Welcome Richard, and I'm sorry that I I can not help you either. And we obviously have a difference of opinion on how to term The Rebellion. :)

Us civil war Tennessee volunteers belt buckle an original leather waist belt made by E. Gaylord Chicopee mass. Also has ordinance stamp see pics for details belt is genuine and in very good shape has 2 stamps on it. Was told that the buckle is a reproduction by someone I'm not an expert on this stuff . These items were found in a attic of an old house in NH. The leather belt is believed to be genuine tho.
