Downriver people plan to fix it this year - we try every odd year! (Busted pretty darn good this time...but we'll try...)

Where the hell did you move to?

Gettin' outta San Fran must be a culture shock. or possibly a relief. ;)
Haha. I move back to Phoenix Arizona where I was born and raised. My wife and I have been gone for about 15 years from AZ -> Eugene, OR -> Las Vegas, NV -> SF Bay Area, CA -> AZ.

I've loved everywhere I've lived for different reasons and love both California and the Bay Area. A wonderful place, but after being on our own for 15 years wanted to be back near family and all of my immediate family is in Phoenix, AZ. As a welcome home gift Arizona went blue for me it seems lol :) Spent about my first 20 years here though and lived so many places so no culture shock fortunately. Though I loved the culture in the bay area so I will miss that, Arizona has it's own (rough around the edges) charm lol.

It's been interesting when my wife has shared/posted we moved from California to Arizona you can tell what people's views are on the places by their assumptions made in their responses.

We have a new home build under contract and are staying with family while we wait (and finish saving up money for a down), so 8-10 months will be in a new house. So excited for that :) Definitely get a lot bigger/nicer house for the price (even with the housing market rising a bunch here, still way less than the bay area, with that said there's a reason California is so expensive).

I am happy, for you both.
