I went to the Boston Symphony Hall yesterday, where the Handel and Haydn Society was performing "The Messiah"
It was interesting, I hadn't to Symphony Hall in many years. It was a matinee, but still: people dress like slobs nowadays. I blame covid. Speaking of which, I had forgotten my vaccination card, which barred me from admittance. The nice lady from reception walked me around the block to a rear entrance and small room, and tested me with an quick kit. As we waited for the results in uncomfortable silence. "Well, am I pregnant?" I asked, "It does have that vibe," she replied. I was OK, she signed the test, took a picture on her phone, sent it to my phone. I walked around the building again and showed my phone to the usher, and joined the family.
Amazing and moving as always.
"And He shall reign forever and ever
"The King of Kings!
Hallelujah, Hallelujah!'
