He was just a real good actor - offscreen he was a decent person, too. That's a rarity in Hollywood! Took on Warner Brothers before he was well-known and that was good. They told him he'd never work as an actor again and his kids would starve... He said get over yourself, I'll just go back to driving cab! He won, too.

He fought 'em on that, too! They kept him in court forever and he remarked they planned to keep it going until he died. Then his Indian came out - "But I have kids!" :p

Well this thread sure wandered off topic.
It's what we do. Not quite sure how we got from Grover Cleveland to the Rockford Files but, to quote the man in the White House, "It is what it is."

The company that made the Baby Ruth candy bar claimed it was named after Grover Cleveland's eldest child.

Ruth Cleveland was born in 1891 and died in 1904.

Babe Ruth's career began in 1914. He led the AL in home runs in 1918, 1919, 1920, and 1921.

The Baby Ruth candy bar was so named in 1921.
