"May you live in interesting times." A lot of the truisms in my lessons about the USA aren't so true.Congrats, you made it.
Future teachers will be trying to interest their students in these times someday

My understanding of that phrase is that it is derived from an ancient Chinese curse, and methinks they weren't talkin' about tariffs."May you live in interesting times."
They're kind of good at boomerang curses, too! Things are pretty interesting there... and getting more so.My understanding of that phrase is that it is derived from an ancient Chinese curse, and methinks they weren't talkin' about tariffs.

Poe was a cadet at West Point. There is a recent novel and film set with Poe there. The Pale Blue Eye. A colleague taught Frankenstein this year, so probably not.Did you squeeze in some Mary Shelley and Edgar Allen?
Bonus Question for the pop quiz: Which military academy did Poe go to?

What about teach Lord Ruthven, from John William Polidori's The Vampyre (1819)... It was start by Lord Byron at that retreat with the Shelly's and Polidori...Frankenstein
Because its an amazingly badly written almost unreadable novel that is longer than War and Peace. What about teach Lord Ruthven, from John William Polidori's The Vampyre (1819)... It was start by Lord Byron at that retreat with the Shelly's and Polidori...
