Here is an article about America bringing back gunboat diplomacy and intimidation to Central America and South America. As I post this, the President is captured by a 3rd world dictator and sends a message to the rest of Latin America: obey or else...

The agreements – ranging from airport access, as in Trinidad and Tobago, to the temporary deployment of US troops for joint operations against “narco-terrorists” in Paraguay – are being signed under the banner of a so-called “war on drugs”, the same rationale Washington has used to justify its offensive against Venezuela, although White House officials and Trump himself has said that the goals also include seizing the country’s vast energy reserves and bringing down the dictator Nicolás Maduro.

Although Washington has long maintained similar agreements in the region, the scale and timing of the new deals are seen by analysts as a further escalation amid what would be an unprecedented US invasion of a South American country.

New ear... or Old era is back...

The United States will run Venezuela following a "large-scale strike" early Saturday that ultimately resulted in the U.S. capturing the country's president, Nicolás Maduro, along with his wife, U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday.

AI list... bringing back the good old days...

The U.S. has a long history of involvement in Latin American coups, notably orchestrating the overthrow of Guatemala's Jacobo Árbenz (1954) and supporting the 1973 coup against Chile's Salvador Allende; other key instances include covert actions in Bolivia (1960s), the 1983 invasion of Grenada, and funding Contras in Nicaragua during the 1980s, alongside earlier interventions in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Panama, often driven by Cold War anti-communism or economic interests, leading to significant regional instability.

Here's a list of prominent examples:
Key U.S.-Backed Coups & Interventions:

  • Guatemala (1954): CIA-orchestrated coup against democratically elected President Jacobo Árbenz due to his land reforms and ties to the United Fruit Company, installing a military dictatorship.
  • Chile (1973): CIA provided funding and support to create a climate for the military coup that overthrew socialist President Salvador Allende, leading to Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship.
  • Bolivia (1960s): Covert CIA funding and political interference aimed at destabilizing left-leaning governments, contributing to military takeovers.
  • Ecuador (1963): CIA destabilization efforts led to a military coup ousting President Carlos Julio Arosemena Monroy.
  • Brazil (1964): U.S. supported the military coup that overthrew elected President João Goulart.
  • Nicaragua (1980s): Reagan administration secretly funded and armed the Contras to overthrow the Sandinista government.
  • Grenada (1983): U.S. invasion to oust a far-left junta that had taken power after assassinating Prime Minister Maurice Bishop.
  • Panama (1989): U.S. invasion to depose dictator Manuel Noriega, a former CIA asset.
Other Notable U.S. Actions:
  • Cuba (1961): Failed Bay of Pigs invasion, a CIA-backed attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro.
  • Dominican Republic (1965): U.S. invasion during a civil war.
These interventions often fueled decades of instability, violence, and anti-American sentiment across Latin America.

It's good he's gone, but we made him the boogeyman, and we cut his nation off from banking and trade, and the economy collapsed, and then we gave him a new evil title, narco-terrorist... This hold thing is bringing back imperialism to the Americas... I know you believe everyone should own a gun, that there be no crime, maybe every nation needs nukes so they will not be invaded anymore... after this, more nations will be looking for nukes to make or buy... You ready for Americans to die for Venezuelan oil... Like in Iraq and Syria...
