Greetings y'all! My name is Jon, I'm a life-long resident in the Metro-Detroit area since birth, and I am VERY proud of my Confederate heritage.

I am active in my local SCV Camp and use sites like this for research purposes as I continue my life-long study of the war.

I followed your postings elsewhere regarding Gen. Forrest and was disappointed when you were no longer around to chat with during the period of the Forrest reburial. I still refer back to your old stuff from time to time when looking up Forrest-rekated material.

Later this weekend I'll make a post in the Forrest form to chat further.

The Stuart/Cooke families moved to 526 Jefferson Ave in Detroit after the Civil War. There is some sort of connection to Wayne State University.

Thank you! Well, Forrest is my special interest. He is a polarizing figure and that makes him all the more interesting. I must say I'm rusty!
