Armoured vehicles don't always have to be tracked sometimes wheels are better.
A good case study is the South African Army during the ' border war " of 1966 to 1989.
Long distances on sandy sandy soft roads are hard on tracked vehicles.
The Eland a South African license produced version of the French AML 90 armoured car with it's high velocity 90mm gun knocked out Cuban Army Soviet T 54 tanks in Angola.
Latter the South African's developed the "Rooicat" which is a very unique armoured vehicle especially designed to fight in Southern Africa but it came out a bit late to see combat.

So per the Wiki article on the Rooicat the Eland 90 and later the South African Rattel 90 were out ranged by the Soviet T-54's of the Cuban and Angolan Armies. Only the Olifant a retrofitted British Centurion Tank with it's high velocity 105mm gun was successful against T-54s.
The Eland and Rattel 90 had low pressure 90mm guns.
The Rooicat had a high velocity 76mm gun but as mentioned it came into service just after the conclusion of the Border War when the Cuban Army left Angola and Namibia gained it's independence from South Africa.
The largest battle in Africa including armoured warfare post WW2 was the battle of Cunito Canavalle Angola between the Cuban and Angolan Army vs the South African and South West African Defense force plus the UNITA guerrillas.

Good example that there is no such thing as a universal weapon. If my memory is correct, tracked tanks were developed to attack across shell holed muddy trench filled WWI battlefields.

Wheeled self propelled armor is not the same as a wheeled armor vehicle. As much has possible self propelled artillery is behind friendly lines it certainly won't go head to head with enemy infantry and armor.
Wheeled armoured vehicles such has the South African Eland and Rattel 90 did go head to head with T-54s with mixed results.

They are on wheels and our move a shoot artillery platform. You said wheeled vehicles did not say how much armor but the track artillery is armored.
You got me there . I meant armoured fighting vehicles but your right although self-propelled artillery vehicles try to avoid direct close range combat.

I know these are not armed vehicles but they are made to survive the apocalypse or maybe it just a long ad but there are a couple cool looking rides...

Try gittin' that big-ass, wide tracked s.o.b thru a muddy bog. Nah, baby, call the wrecker/towing crew.

I bet there's a few still sunk, if not buried.

That must have been a prototype, show me a verking example.
It was designed for urban street fighting support, to wreck fortified houses. Gun tube was actually a 380 cm rocket launcher. There were 18 producedSturmTiger_reloading-1024x606-1.jpg

There was around 300 of it's predecessor built, which used an artillery gun, the Brummbar
